Timolol (ophthalmic) is a prescription eye-drop medication used to lower elevated pressure inside the eye (intra-ocular pressure) in conditions such as open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension by relaxing blood vessels and reducing fluid production.
Please note: a valid prescription is required for all prescription medication.
Timolol maleate ophthalmic solution is a non-selective β-adrenergic blocker formulated for topical eye-use. By blocking β-receptors in the eye, it reduces aqueous humour production and improves outflow dynamics, thereby reducing intra-ocular pressure (IOP). This effect can help slow the progression of optic nerve damage in glaucoma and reduce risk of vision loss.
